The website of the medical and scientific platform INgenius announced a medical initiative that will provide free services to war victims.
In September 2022, the FACE TO FACE Ukrainian Medical Mission is planned, as part of which a team of American facial plastic surgeons will provide medical assistance to persons who have suffered head, face and neck injuries as a result of the war.
FACE TO FACE (FTF) International is a humanitarian program held under the auspices of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Foundation (The Educational and Research Foundation) in cooperation with the organizations Razom for Ukraine and INgenius
FTF International makes educational exchanges between facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons around the world an integral part of its program.
Previously, the program focused primarily on children in other countries who faced emotional challenges due to facial deformities caused by birth or trauma.

"Our surgeons are men and women who believe that a longer-lasting impact is made in communities when our FTF teams work side-by-side with local medical staff to provide patient care."

The destruction of Ukrainian cities by rocket attacks, bombs and hail does not go without victims both among the military and among the civilian population. Thanks to the FACE TO FACE humanitarian program, some of the affected people will be able to receive free surgical treatment for head, face and neck injuries.
American doctors, together with Ukrainian colleagues, will select patients for reconstructive operations on the face and neck. For patients who are selected to participate in the mission, the operation and stay in the clinic will be free. Operative treatment will take place in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
How to register for participation in the selection?
If you have or are a potential patient with head, face and/or neck injuries, please email face2ukraine@gmail.com for information on how to apply
During the submission process, you will first be given a Consent to the processing of personal data for signature. Next, you will need to send personal details (name, date of birth, etc.), a brief medical history, previous surgeries, scanned copies of medical records (if available) and photos. Once this information is received and reviewed, you will be notified whether the individual has been accepted for the mission, as well as details of the location and date of the operation.
